Day 1 Lima – Palomino Islands – Lima
Morning: Your adventure begins with pickup from your hotel in Lima. Our driver will transfer you comfortably to the port, where you will meet your bilingual guide and board the boat for an exciting journey along Lima’s Pacific coastline.
After boarding our vessel, we set sail toward the fascinating Callao Islands, enjoying beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean along the way. We will cruise close to the historic San Lorenzo Island, whose history dates back to pre-Columbian times and is closely connected to the maritime heritage of the region.
As we navigate these waters, you will have the opportunity to observe fishing vessels in operation and fascinating colonies of guano birds, while our bilingual guide shares interesting information about the local wildlife, history, and marine ecosystem. Keep your eyes open for Humboldt penguins and other coastal birds, and admire the historic lighthouse standing atop the island.
We then continue toward our main destination: the Palomino Islands, a group of small islands renowned for their abundant marine life and impressive colonies of South American sea lions.
Upon reaching the islands, you will have the opportunity to experience one of the highlights of the tour: swimming among the sea lions in their natural environment. You can enter the water and enjoy this unforgettable wildlife encounter as the curious sea lions swim and play nearby.
While enjoying the experience, your guide will provide information about the Palomino Islands and the importance of protecting this unique marine ecosystem.
After this memorable encounter with Peru’s marine wildlife, we will board the boat and begin our return journey to the port. Upon arrival, our driver will be waiting to transfer you back to your hotel in Lima.
