Yes, 4 days is enough if you’re fit and have limited time. This itinerary is designed to reach Choquequirao, explore the archaeological site in the afternoon, and return safely to Cusco.

If you prefer a slower pace and more time at the site, the Choquequirao Trek 5 Days may be a better option.

What is the highest altitude of the Choquequirao Trek?

The highest important point of the trek is  approximately 3,050 m ( 10,006 ft.)The route also includes lower, warmer canyon areas, so temperatures can change a lot during the hike.

The total hiking distance is approximately 55 km (34 miles), with the trek starting and ending in Cusco.
