Itinerary
Day 1 International Arrival in Lima – Transfer to the Hotel
Arrive at any time. Upon your arrival at Lima Airport, our representative will be waiting to welcome you. Please look for the sign clearly marked with your name. You will then be transferred to your hotel.
No activities are planned for today, allowing you time to relax and prepare for your Peru adventure trip.
Day 2 Lima City Tour – Colonial and Contemporary
At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your hotel to begin your city tour of Lima.
We will visit the historic city center and explore the outstanding architectural landmarks surrounding the Main Square, including the Cathedral of Lima, Francisco Pizarro’s tomb, the catacombs of the San Francisco Monastery, the National Congress, and the Government Palace.
Afterward, we will continue to the modern districts of San Isidro and Miraflores, where we will enjoy beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean.
Day 3 Lima - Paracas - Ballestas Island – Huacachina Oasis – Ica
We will pick you up very early from your hotel in Lima to transfer you to the bus terminal to take the bus to Paracas, on a journey of 3 hours and half. Upon arrival we will head to the harbor and sail out into the bay of Paracas, during the excursion we will stop to see the famous geoglyph known as the Candelabro. When we reach the Islands, we will have one hour to explore by boat. We will have magnificent views of the Islands and their many residents. We will pass through the sea caves, natural formation rocks that are home for pelicans, Humboldt penguins, seals and other guano birds from the Peruvian coast. After this tour we will transport you to Ica for a traditional lunch and .and enjoy a guided tour of a vineyard, where you will learn about the traditional Pisco-making process and enjoy a Pisco tasting. Then we will head to Huacachina, an Oasis town in the middle of the desert. In this place you will also enjoy activities like sand boarding and dune buggy rides.
Day 4 Ica- Nazca Lines – Lima
At schedule time, we will pick you up from your hotel and we will then transfer you to the Nazca Aerodrome to take an exciting 35 minutes flight over the enigmatic Nazca Lines, the pilot will follow a course that takes you over all the main geoglyphs. The Nazca Lines are groups of large geoglyphs etched into the desert floor. The figures include shapes like monkeys, spiders, birds, and lines that stretch for miles across the arid landscape. After the flight, you will have time for lunch on your own before boarding your bus back to Lima.
Day 5 Arrival to Cusco
Reception and transfer to your selected hotel. Arriving at the Hotel and free time to relax or get acclimate to the altitude.
Take it easy this afternoon and acclimatize to the higher altitude.
Day 6 Cusco City Tour – Sacsayhuaman & Nearby Ruins
Enjoy a free morning at your leisure in Cusco. Take the opportunity to explore at your own pace, strolling through streets lined with Inca walls, visiting the vibrant San Pedro Market, the charming neighborhood of San Blas, or one of the city’s fascinating museums.
In the afternoon, the City Tour begins with a guided visit through Cusco’s most important sites: the historic Cusco Cathedral, the ancient Inca temple Qorikancha and the nearby ruins surrounding the city, including the impressive fortress of Sacsayhuamán, the ceremonial center of Q’enqo, the military checkpoint Puka Pukara, and the water temple of Tambomachay. At the end of the tour, we return to your hotel.
Day 7 Sacred Valley + Maras Moray Tour – Aguas Calientes
Early in the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel. The tour will begins in Chinchero, a picturesque village in the sacred valley, where you will see its ancient walls and ruins, as well as you will enjoy the traditional handmade weaving demonstration of textiles by local women. Next, we will visit Moray, the fascinating Inca agricultural laboratory with its concentric circular terraces that created different microclimates to crop experimentation.
We will then continue to the Maras Salt Mines, an impressive landscape of over 5,000 salt pools on the mountain slopes, used since pre-Inca times. At noon you will have a delicious buffet lunch at a local restaurant in the Sacred Valley .
Our last stop is Ollantaytambo, one of the most impressive fortresses of the Inca empire with its enormous stone walls, functional hydraulic system, and agricultural terraces.
In the late afternoon, you will board the train to Aguas Calientes town. Upon your arrival, you will be met at the train station and transferred to your comfortable hotel .
Day 8 Machu Picchu - Cusco
Early in the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel and board the first buses up to Machu Picchu. This allows us to enjoy the citadel with fewer crowds.
Upon Arrival , we will enjoy a guided tour of the Machu Picchu Inca Citadel, visiting it most important sector , including the House of the Guardian, including the House of the Guardian, from where you can take in the iconic panoramic views of the site. the Temple of the Sun, the Royal Palace, and the Sacred Plaza, and other remarkable Inca sites. The guided tour takes about two hours and is followed by free time to explore the citadel at your own pace.
After your visit, you will take the bus down to Aguas Calientes for lunch. Then, you will board the train back to Ollantaytambo. Upon your arrival at the train station, we will meet you and transfer you back to your hotel in Cusco, arriving at approximately 8:00 p.m.
Day 9 Rainbow Mountain - Cusco
We will pick you up from your hotel very early and head toward the southern valley of Cusco to the village of Cusipata. After a two-hour drive, we will stop to enjoy a delicious breakfast. Then , we will continue our journey for another hour to the trailhead at Llaqto Village, where we will begin our uphill hike to Rainbow Mountain.
Along the way, we will enjoy breathtaking views of the Andes, snow-capped peaks, colorful hills, and herds of llamas and alpacas grazing throughout the valley. After two hours of hiking, we will reach the spectacular Rainbow Mountain. Once at the summit, you will have plenty of time to admire this impressive natural formation and take photos. We will spend about 30 to 40 minutes at the top before beginning our descent.
The downhill hike takes about one and a half hours, bringing us back to the parking area. After the hike, we will board our transportation to Cusipata, where we will enjoy a delicious buffet lunch. Finally, we will return to Cusco, arriving at your hotel at approximately 4:00 p.m.
Day 10 Flight back to Lima
After breakfast in your hotel and at a previously arranged time, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Lima.
