Sacred Valley from Urubamba – 3 Days (A)

After breakfast, we will pick you up from your hotel at 8:00 a.m. to begin your Sacred Valley adventure from Urubamba (2,872 m / 9,422 ft).

Our first stop will be the charming town of Maras, known for its blend of Inca heritage and colonial architecture. We will then visit Moray, an impressive Inca agricultural experimental center featuring circular terraces.

Next, we will explore the Maras Salt Mines (3,000 m / 9,843 ft), where local families continue to harvest salt using traditional techniques passed down through generations.

After our guided visits to Moray and the salt mines, we will return to Urubamba to enjoy lunch.

In the afternoon, we will travel to Ollantaytambo to explore its remarkable archaeological complex and picturesque town, famous for its remarkably well-preserved Inca streets and architecture.

At the end of the tour, we will transfer you to the train station in Ollantaytambo to board your train to Aguas Calientes (2,040 m / 6,693 ft). Upon arrival, you will check in to your hotel and spend the night in preparation for your visit to Machu Picchu the following day.

Early in the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel in Aguas Calientes and take one of the first buses up to Machu Picchu (2,430 m / 7,972 ft), allowing you to enjoy the archaeological site before the crowds arrive.

Upon arrival, you will enjoy a guided tour of the citadel’s main attractions, including its houses, temples, plazas, and agricultural terraces. The guided visit lasts approximately two and a half hours, followed by free time to explore the site at your own pace, subject to your entrance ticket and authorized circuit.

Our first choice is Circuit 2 whenever available, as it offers one of the most comprehensive experiences at Machu Picchu. If Circuit 2 is sold out for your selected date and time, we will secure the best available alternative, usually Circuit 1 or Circuit 3, depending on availability.

After your visit, you will take the bus back to Aguas Calientes, where you will have free time to enjoy lunch at one of the town’s many restaurants.

Later, you will board the train back to Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival, our private transportation will be waiting to take you back to your hotel in Urubamba.

After breakfast, we will pick you up from your hotel in Urubamba at 9:00 a.m. and begin our journey through the beautiful Sacred Valley toward the Pisac Archaeological Site (3,440 m / 11,286 ft).

Perched above the town of Pisac, this impressive archaeological complex offers breathtaking views of the surrounding valley. Explore its remarkable agricultural terraces, ancient hillside tombs, temples, and aqueducts while learning about the history and engineering of the Inca civilization.

Afterward, we will descend to the town of Pisac (2,970 m / 9,744 ft), where you can enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and browse the traditional artisan market, known for its handicrafts and locally made souvenirs.

Next, we will visit Manos de la Comunidad, an Andean camelid farm and textile center where you can learn about llamas, alpacas, and traditional weaving techniques.

We will then continue to Sacsayhuamán (3,700 m / 12,139 ft), one of the most impressive examples of Inca architecture and engineering. Explore this remarkable archaeological complex, renowned for its massive stone walls assembled with extraordinary precision without mortar.

At the end of the tour, we will transfer you to your hotel in Cusco (3,400 m / 11,155 ft), arriving at approximately 6:00 p.m.
