Itinerary
Day 1 Southern Valley Tour – Half Day
This tour begins with hotel pickup in Cusco. We head south through the beautiful Andean countryside, passing farmland, mountains, and local communities.
Our first stop is Tipón (3,560 m/ 11,680 ft) an impressive Inca archaeological site famous for its perfectly preserved agricultural terraces and advanced water channels that still flow today. Explore this peaceful site and discover the remarkable hydraulic engineering of the Incas.
Next, we visit Pikillacta (3,250 m/10,662 ft) an ancient Wari settlement and one of the most important pre-Inca cities in the Cusco region. Walk among its impressive stone walls, planned streets, and unique urban structures while learning about the civilization that flourished before the Incas.
Our final stop is Andahuaylillas ( 3,121 m/ 10,239 ft), a charming Andean village home to the beautiful San Pedro Church, known as the “Sistine Chapel of the Americas” for its stunning colonial artwork, murals, and Andean Baroque decorations.
After exploring these fascinating sites, we return to Cusco and drop you off at your hotel or a central location around 2:00 p.m
