Itinerary
Day 1 Lima - Ica - Huacachina Tour - Lima
We will begin our adventure early at 4:00 a.m., picking you up from your hotel in Lima to embark on an unforgettable journey along Peru’s southern coast.
Our first destination will be the charming coastal town of Paracas. Upon arrival, we will head to the pier and board a modern boat for an excursion to the Ballestas Islands. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to observe fascinating marine wildlife, including sea lions, Humboldt penguins, and numerous seabirds nesting along the rocky cliffs. You will also admire the mysterious Candelabra geoglyph while our guide shares some of the theories surrounding its origin.
After our visit to Paracas, we will continue to Ica, a region famous for its vineyards and Pisco production. Here, we will visit a traditional winery to learn about the artisanal processes involved in producing Peruvian Pisco and wine. You will discover the region’s winemaking traditions and enjoy a tasting of selected products, including different varieties of Pisco and local wines.
Next, we will head to the spectacular Huacachina Oasis, a beautiful lagoon surrounded by towering sand dunes. You will have time to admire the scenery and take memorable photographs before embarking on an exhilarating dune buggy ride across the desert. You will also experience the thrill of sandboarding down the dunes for an unforgettable desert adventure.
After these exciting activities, you will have free time to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant (not included).
In the afternoon, we will depart for Lima, arriving at approximately 11:00 PM. Upon arrival, we will transfer you to your hotel, bringing this unforgettable full-day adventure along Peru’s southern coast to a memorable end.

What Is the Weather Like in Huacachina?
Ica and Huacachina enjoy a warm, dry desert climate throughout most of the year. From May to October, the weather is generally sunny, with daytime temperatures often ranging from 25°C to 30°C (77°F to 86°F) and very little rainfall. From November to April, temperatures can be warmer, sometimes reaching 35°C (95°F), with occasional cloudiness and very little chance of rain.
We recommend wearing lightweight clothing, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat to make the most of your Huacachina desert adventure.
