Itinerary
Day 1 Cusco – Chinchero – Misminay Community – Maras – Moray – Urubamba
Early in the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco, followed by a drive of approximately 1 hour to Chinchero, enjoying the beautiful Andean landscapes along the way. You will visit a traditional textile center and discover ancestral weaving techniques, natural dyes, and local traditions.
We will then continue to the Misminay community, where you will experience a warm traditional welcome and learn about Andean culture, ancestral medicine, and the community’s connection with nature. You will also participate in a Pachamanca cooking experience and enjoy a traditional Andean lunch.
After lunch, we will head to Moray, where you will explore its impressive circular Inca terraces and learn about their agricultural significance. We will then continue for approximately 30 minutes to the Maras Salt Mines, where you will discover the ancient salt-producing tradition and thousands of salt pools spread across the mountainside.
Finally, we will drive to Urubamba, where you will check in at your accommodation and enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure.
Day 2 Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Ollantaytambo
After breakfast, we will transfer you to the train station, where you will board the train to Aguas Calientes, enjoying the changing landscapes of the Sacred Valley along the way.
Upon arrival, you will meet your professional guide and take the shuttle bus for approximately 30 minutes to Machu Picchu (2,430 m / 7,972 ft.).You will enjoy a 2–3-hour guided tour of the ancient Inca citadel, exploring its main temples, plazas, terraces, and remarkable architecture while learning about its history, architecture, and significance of this extraordinary sanctuary.
After the visit, you will return by shuttle bus to Aguas Calientes and enjoy some free time for lunch or to explore the town before boarding your return train.
Upon arrival at the train station, our transportation will be waiting for you for about 1.5–2-hour journey back to Cusco, where you will be dropped off at your hotel.
