Itinerary
Day 1 Lima - Ballestas Islands, Vineyard - Huacachina Dunes
Your adventure begins early in the morning with a pick-up from your hotel in Lima, followed by a scenic 3.5-hour journey south to Paracas. Upon arrival, you will board a boat for an unforgettable 2-hour excursion to the Ballestas Islands, where you can admire Peru’s fascinating marine wildlife, dramatic coastline, and natural landscapes. As the boat ride can be windy and sea spray is common, we recommend bringing a jacket.
After exploring the Ballestas Islands, continue your journey toward the Ica region, traveling approximately 1.5 hours to La Caravedo Vineyard, one of the oldest vineyards in the Americas. Here, enjoy a traditional lunch before discovering the history and traditions behind Peru’s famous Pisco during a guided vineyard tour and tasting experience.
From the vineyard, it is only about 40 minutes to Huacachina, where you will discover one of Peru’s most iconic desert landscapes: a beautiful oasis surrounded by towering golden dunes. Take some time to relax and explore the oasis before getting ready for the highlight of the afternoon—a thrilling 2-hour dune buggy and sandboarding adventure. Ride across the spectacular dunes, enjoy panoramic views of the desert, and experience the excitement of sliding down the sand.
Please note that this is an adrenaline-filled adventure. A private dune buggy can be arranged at an additional cost for travelers who prefer a calmer and more personalized experience. Standard sandboarding is done on a handmade board while lying on your stomach. If you prefer to sandboard standing up, your guide can assist you in finding a place to rent a professional board.
After an exciting day combining coastal wildlife, Peruvian gastronomy, Pisco traditions, and desert adventure, you will be transferred to your accommodation in Huacachina for a well-deserved overnight stay.
Day 2 Huacachina- Nasca Lines - Lima
After breakfast, you will be picked up from your accommodation and begin your journey toward Nazca, where you will have the opportunity to discover one of Peru’s greatest archaeological mysteries—the Nazca Lines. Upon arrival, continue to the local airport for your Nazca Lines overflight.
Before the flight, complete the necessary check-in procedures and prepare for an unforgettable aerial experience. During the flight, admire the mysterious ancient geoglyphs created in the desert, including several famous figures such as the Monkey, Hummingbird, Spider, and other mysterious designs that can be seen from the air.
After the flight, you will have some free time to relax and have lunch or snacks at your own expense before beginning the return journey to Lima.
At approximately 6:30 pm, depart Nazca and travel back to Lima. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at your accommodation.
