Itinerary
Day 1 Maras, Moray and Chinchero – Half Day
This tour begins with hotel pickup in Cusco. We drive for about 1 hour through the scenic Andean highlands to Moray (3,3385 m/ 11,110 ft), an extraordinary Inca archaeological site featuring circular agricultural terraces where the Incas experimented with crops and different microclimates.
Afte Moray, we will Continue to the Maras Salt Mines (3,200 m / 10,498 ft), located about 20 minutes from Maras town, a spectacular network of more than 3,000 salt ponds that have been harvested by local families since pre-Inca times. Surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery, this unique landscape is one of the most iconic attractions near Cusco.
Our final stop is Chinchero (3.762 m/ 12,343 ft), a traditional Andean village known for its Inca archaeological remains, colonial church, and vibrant weaving traditions. Visit a local textile center, where Andean women artisans demonstrate ancient weaving techniques using natural fibers and dyes passed down through generations.
After exploring these remarkable sites, we will return to Cusco and drop you off at your hotel or near your hotel.
