Itinerary
Day 1 Puno – Uros and Taquile Islands - Puno
Early morning: Your adventure begins with a hotel pickup in Puno. Accompanied by our local guide, you will be transferred to the port to board our boat and begin an unforgettable journey across the waters of Lake Titicaca.
Uros Floating Islands: Our first stop is the remarkable Uros Floating Islands, a group of man-made islands built entirely from totora reeds. For generations, the Uros people have called these floating islands home. During your visit, your local guide will introduce you to their unique way of life, traditions, and customs. You will also have time to walk around the islands and appreciate the remarkable craftsmanship behind this living cultural heritage.
Taquile Island: We then continue by boat across Lake Titicaca toward Taquile Island, home to a traditional Quechua-speaking community known for preserving its ancestral customs and way of life. Upon arrival, we will follow a scenic path toward the upper part of the island. Along the way, enjoy spectacular views of the deep blue waters of Lake Titicaca, ancient agricultural terraces, and traditional houses that reflect centuries of Andean heritage.
At the top of the island, you will have some free time to explore, take photographs, and soak up the peaceful atmosphere. We will then enjoy a traditional local lunch, accompanied by breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding landscapes.
After lunch, we will make our way down to the harbor and board the boat for our return journey to Puno.
Arrival in Puno: We expect to arrive at the port in Puno at approximately 5:00 PM, followed by your transfer back to your hotel.

What Should I Pack for My Lake Titicaca Trip?
Pack for changing temperatures! Puno and Lake Titicaca can be surprisingly cold, especially in the early mornings and at night. At the same time, the strong Andean sun can make the middle of the day feel quite warm, so dressing in layers is the best approach.
