Overview
Visitors from all over the world come to Peru to take part in the great adventure of the Inca Trail. This trek includes different ecological areas from high deserts to Andean tropical rain-forest.Following this ancient Inca Trail, along the trek we will past archaeological sites and finally arriving to the lost city of the Incas, Machu Picchu.

Itinerary
Day 1 Cusco ‐ Tinqui Village – Upis Hot Springs
When we arrive at Tinqui ( trailhead), we will have a quick breakfast by our chef. Then the horsemen will arrange all the group gear and packs on the horses .We begin our walk through local farming communities who are also dedicated to grazing llamas and alpacas,and you will enjoy the breathtaking views of the mountains. We will walk for around 3 hrs in a gentle up and then time for a lunch stop. After lunch we continue for another 2 hours to reach Upis (4,200 m / 13,680 ft). There we will have the opportunity to soak in the local hot springs before dinner, and camp for the night.
Day 2 Upis Hot Spring ‐ Arapa Pass – Pucacocha
After a good breakfast we are ready to leave our camp and get started on our hike for 2 hours through a beautiful Andean valley towards the Arapa Pass (4,800 m / 15,748 ft). From this vantage point we will enjoy the contrast between dry desert like hills and breathtaking snow capped views of Mountain of Ausangate and Pumacocha.This area also boasts three beautiful lakes such as Pucacocha, Hatun Pucacocha, and Qomercocha. Then you will walk gengle down , place for lunch and have a rest. After lunch , our trek continues throughout the highland towards Lake Pucacocha (4,500 m / 14,784 ft ), a deep turquoise lake and a perfect stop to rest. Our second campsite is close to the imposing Ausangate glacier, You will enjoy the dinner and then head to spend the night.
Day 3 Pucacocha – Ananta –Warmisaya Pass – Surinecocha
This is going to be one of the most beautiful days of the trek and one of the challenging sections of this trip. The day begins with a 2 hour uphill climb until we reach the Puca Qocha pass (4,870 m / 15,978 ft). Along the way you will be amazed by the stunning views of the glaciers and deep green valleys. Once we reach the top ,from here we will appreciate one of the most wonderful views of the Ausangate snow capped in front of us and take photos of its beautiful lagoons. Afterwards, we will take advantage of some great photographic opportunities and begin with a gradual descent into the valley for one and a half to our lunch spot , located in Ananta ( 4,750 M / 15,584 ft ), After lunch, we continue with an ascent for 2 hours to reach the Warmisaya Pass ( 4,985 m / 16,335 ft.), from this pass, we will be able to see the Rainbow Mountain in a further distance and views are still very impressive. After that, we will walk one hour downhill to reach the third camp located in Surine Cocha (4,800 m / 15,748 ft) . In the evening, we will enjoy hot drinks and dinner.
Day 4 Surinecocha – Rainbow Mountain – Red Valley – Cusco
We will get up very early, After breakfast we hike up gradually for 2 hours to reach the famous Rainbow Mountain (5,020 m / 16,469 ft).this allows us to appreciate the mountain in all its splendor with absolute solitude, without visitors yet. Your guide will explain what makes these mountains so unique: they are composed of various minerals, which make different colors of stone striations. After taking photos of Vinicunca, and before the crowds arrive we will begin our trek towards the Red Valley, it takes 45 minutes of walking to get to the viewpoint from where we will get the best views of the valley. Finally , we will walk downhill for about 2 hours to Llaqto and we will have lunch there. Our private van will be waiting to pick us up after lunch. We will then drive 3 hours back to Cusco. where you will be dropped off at your hotel around 5:00 pm.
