Itinerary
Maras, Moray And Chinchero – Half Day
We will pick you up from your Hotel from 8:30 to 9:00 am, You will travel from Cusco in the morning for about 40 km passing through the town of Maras, which has an interesting mix of Inca and colonial influence. We will proceed on to Moray, which has an impressive Inca monument of giant terraces in the shape of nearly perfect circles that is believed to have been used for agricultural experimentation, because of the increasing temperature of the terraces the more you descend further into the complex and the well-developed irrigation system. From there we will go to Salineras, the salt mine. At the salt mine you will see many ponds filled with salt from a natural underground salt spring that comes from the adjacent mountain. The inhabitants of the area have worked and harvested the salt the same way since the time of the Incas. Finally, we will drive to small town of Chinchero (3,762 m/12,343 ft), where you can see the traditional handmade weaving demonstration of textiles by local women. After the visit, the transport will take you back to Cusco. We will drop you up at your hotel or close to your hotel. END OF OUR SERVICES…!!
