Availability for Inca Trail

We will buy your Inca Trail trek permit using the names and passport numbers that you send us with your trek booking application (they must be complete and accurate)You must bring the same passport with you to Cusco and take it with you on the Inca Trail.

Here are some key points to keep in mind regarding Inca Trail availability and permits:

The Inca Trail is closed every February for maintenance.
Only 500 permits are issued per day for hikers and trekking staff, and this includes porters and guides.
Permits can sell out quickly, especially during peak season (May to September), so it’s recommended to book well in advance.

If permits for your desired date are Sold Out, you can always make a reservation for next year or consider the Shorter version of the Inca Trail or the Salkantay Trek as the best alternatives to get to Machu Picchu.
The campsite allocation is dependent on how early you book, or rather, how many permits are left. The first 250 spaces are generally given to Winay Wayna (3rd campsite) ,one of the best campsites on the Inca trail.
